Show Me Love
With Valentine’s Day 2010 quickly approaching, people keep asking me where they should take their S.O. for the big day. This is the easiest question in the world for me to answer, because when I think romance, I think of one restaurant in Atlanta: Dante’s Down the Hatch.

Soul Sister

The incredibly talented Aslyn is one of my favorite singer/songwriters. There is a soulful depth in her voice and her lyrics. And, the fact that she is Atlanta-based, only adds to her appeal.

Prime Time Super Star

I have suffered from tremendously oily skin for my entire adult life. The only repose I can find in the fact that it is a daily struggle to keep my face from looking like I just ran a 5K in the middle of the desert is that heavy oil production when you are young is supposed to yield fewer wrinkles when you are older. My Bliggaty-Blog
First off, for everyone who isn’t a Denis Leary fan, I apologize for this ridiculous first title. For those of you who are Leary fans–funny, no?
After spending at least a year of my life determining what exactly my relationship as a journalist should be with the world of online writing, and more specifically–blogging, I bring you “Emily Suggests”. In this new addition to my website, you will find my recommendations for pretty much everything from beauty products to music. Some items, such as restaurants and theaters, will be Atlanta-centric since Atl is my playground, but the majority of my posts will be universally appealing and accessible.
So how can you as my readers get involved? First of all, are you looking for a new mascara or the perfect tank top? Let me know, and I’d be happy to “Suggest” something just for you! Also, please feel free to leave your comments after each post–I’d love to hear your thoughts! And finally, I’d appreciate any mention you give my new blog on your facey spaces and your tweety pages (more Leary goodness), because if I’m going to fully embrace the merging of my career and the www, I’d like to be embraced in return. Because everyone knows a one-sided hug is lame. ♥
~Peace, love and the modern age, Emily
